Nice read.

Jack will figure out the game. I think it's a mixture of what you said as far as fatigue, linemates, and also frustration. I wouldn't go as far as benching him or sitting him for long periods without first doing the same to some of our vets, but if it happens again where he seems to be struggling maybe it's time for a change to wing for a bit or a demotion to a lower line.

As for the Blue Jacket, good player, costs too much, next.

Good blog as usual.

Congrats on Ocho Cinco on that record. That is crazy to think about with the Goaltenders that we have had here....

I found what May said was Sobering and needed to be said. I'm not sure if it's our expectations or just the rigors of the NHL catching up with Eichel, but I see what May is talking about in the past few games before last nights. He seemed to really rebound nicely last night.

I think this week off they have will definitely help rejuvenate the team. They've been playing pretty much every other day for the past couple weeks. They really need to get out on the ice with Coach Bylsma to sure up some things and could use some sharpening of their skills.

I can't say I'm disappointed by any means, however with all the forward upgrades we have now, 3 goals per game shouldn't be a hard feet.

It's really Gionta, Girgenson, Moulson, and Foligno that need to work on scoring more goals.

And how about the 4th line with Cal O'Reilly on it. Really loving his game right now!

Work hard and good things will happen!

Nice game by Ocho.

I'm not worried about Eichel. He'll be fine, just a few growing pains as he's played a ton of games, something he's probably not used to. I thought he played a much better game last night. Brad May was probably right in his assessment but I think he'll figure out how to work hard, fight for pucks, etc.

I'd love Johansen but the price will be steep and not sure Murray will go that route. Stamkos on the other hand....

Cal looked like an NHL player last night. Have not followed him at all so not sure what he can offer, but if he continues to play like that i would imagine he could bump 1 or 2 of the guys that are struggling up into the PB.

Hoping this is just stirring the pot. Throwing some money at him in the offseason, fine. But what we'd have to give up to get him now would be way too much.

At least he did look good though. As someone who can fill in for injuries and such. Maybe a little extra motivation playing with his brother as well.

Can we mention how Anaheim is dead last in the West right now? I know they've struggled and if they play like they did last night consistently then I can understand why, but last in the West is crazy for a team with that talent.

At what point do they start making changes, either head coach or players?

Doubtful they do something with the Xmas break coming up but if it continues into January, they'll need to do something. Getzlaf has 1 goal this year and that was an empty netter.

Good read(reed) Mike. And I don't just say that to say it. Some blogs are better than others. The "others" aren't terrible, but I digress.

I'm wondering how much of Eichel's woes come from him being coached conservatively and or how much is from the fact that these games have been either a game were not in or just total snoozefests.

Did I miss the fun yesterday? Work has been crazy busy so I haven't been on much.

Working from home today, which really means I'm making sure my email is monitored and am watching TV while sitting on the couch with my dog.
